The time of weaning..

Our first six foals of the year have just been weaned. It's time for our broodmares to rest and have fun "between big ones".

The mares love this period of well-deserved rest among themselves, in peace and quiet.

Here they are welcoming their meadow friend.

The manes are deliberately kept long at this time for their well-being (we do not cut the forelock, essential protection against flies in summer).
